Whether you are a Golden Girl or a young woman looking for a circle of friends, WoW/Newcomers is The Woodlands’ social club for you! Despite our name, you can be a Newcomer even if you have lived in The Woodlands for many years. Perhaps you have just retired or moved here for a new job–yours or a partner’s, or to be near children and grandchildren. The Woodlands is a terrific and diverse community, and so is our club!

Our membership year runs from June 1 to May 31. Member dues include access to the Members Page, which includes the monthly newsletter, membership directory and more. A printed and mailed black and white newsletter is available for an additional fee as well as a printed membership directory.
Any woman residing within The Woodlands is eligible for active membership. The Woodlands is defined as all residential areas inside the exterior boundaries of The Woodlands...It is understood that areas within the exterior boundaries that are landlocked by The Woodlands will be considered The Woodlands for club purposes. Use of Image and Likeness
By participating in Club events or activities, members and guests grant the Club permission to photograph, record and use their image, voice and likeness for promotional, informational and social media purposes. Such materials may be used in print, digital or online formats, including the Club's website, newsletters and social media channels.
Participants understand that these materials may be edited, copied, exhibited, published or distributed and waive any right to inspect or approve the finished product. No compensation will be provided for the use of these images or recordings.
Members who prefer not to appear in promotional materials may notify the Board Secretary in writing and reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate the request.
Limitation of Liability
The Club, it's Board of Directors, officers, committee chairs and volunteers shall not be liable for any injury, loss, damage or claim arising out of or related to participation in any Club activity, event or function. All members and guests participate at their own risk and are responsible for exercising reasonable judgment and personal safety.
Indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted by law, members agree to release and hold harmless the Club and its members from any liability, claims or demands resulting from participation in Club activities, except in cases of gross negligence or intentional misconduct by the Club.
Assumption of Risk
By participating in Club events, members acknowledge that social and recreational activities may involve inherent risks. Members voluntarily assume all such risks and agree that the Club is not responsible for personal property loss, personal injury or other damages.
