Newcomers/WOW July 2023 election results
Detailed report on our July 2023 election
Our first online election has concluded successfully. Three proposed amendments to the Newcomers Constitution were presented for a vote by the membership.
1. The first amendment which clarified that the slate of officers would be voted on in April through an online election passed with 94.85% of the vote.
2. The second amendment updated the map of The Woodlands used to determine membership eligibility into the club. An old out-of-date map was replaced with a current interactive map which includes the most updated boundaries of the township. This measure passed with 82.35% of the vote.
3. The third proposed amendment to expand the boundaries of the Newcomers Club to include a few adjacent neighborhoods bordering The Woodlands did not meet the two-thirds requirement of voting members and, therefore, did not pass.
